After two horrible days I have finally found a little thing to make my day better: Supernova’s “Meki Love”.
I really missed them, well I missed their songs but this new song is really awesome. And I won’t even start with the video which is really cute, fun and very much different from what they’ve done so far. It seems like they had lots of fun filming this video.

It’s not unusual for me to celebrate my birthday for an entire weekend. In fact I would probably celebrate it even more if I had enough free days, because there are still some good friends I still haven’t had the chance to have a drink with.
Even so, I am very much happy to say I had one of the best birthdays I could wish for. Not only did I spent quality time with Johnny, but with my family as well. I even had total strangers wishing me “Happy Birthday” (does it count if it’s on Facebook?).
I actually felt like I was on vacation. I guess that was the best gift I could receive, since I wanted a vacation so much.
And, just to top it all, I actually went to the movies and saw: Source Code and *drum rolls* Morning Glory (which I’ve been wanting to see since last year). I was already a fan of Patrick Wilson (the reason for me wanting to see Morning Glory), but after seeing Source Code I can say I’ve become a fan of Jake Gyllenhaal. I haven’t really seen any movie with him so I wasn’t sure with our movie choice, but it was worth it.
Source Code is one of those movies that deserves to be seen for two reasons: it’s refreshing watching a movie and not knowing who the main actors are (this might depend on how much you know about Hollywood and its actors) and you can enjoy an action/thriller movie even if it’s not packed with hardcore action. The actors make watching this movie worth while.
The movie confused Johnny a little bit, and truthfully I found it hard to explain if the “source code” was in fact a time machine or not. I don’t think the “source code” was a time machine, because in the end (stop reading if you haven’t seen the movie, a spoiler is about to come) Stevens became Fentress yet another Stevens still existed in the military facility, and the reality changed. So you could basically say the “source code” created an alternate reality were a new Fentress was created but with Stevens identity.
Confused much?
Well, it’s hard to explain what really happens in the movie. You have to watch it and draw the conclusions for yourself. Trust me, you’ll enjoy it.
Ahh, and the reason why I was late this morning to work: watching Morning Glory till midnight and not being able to fall asleep because of the great mood I was in. I wanted to watch Morning Glory ever since I saw Watchmen. I call it “the Patrick Wilson effect“. I must say that Hard Candy left a very bitter taste in my mouth (not exactly my kind of movie) and “The A-Team” just made me want to see more of him.
Yes, I am very much aware he had a few scenes but it was worth it. The movie was sweet, not exactly a guy’s movie since Johnny felt asleep just after 15 minutes (now I’m not sure if it was because of the movie or because it was late). It wasn’t as funny as the trailer wanted us to believe it is, but it wasn’t a flop like oh lets say “You again“. You could say “Morning Glory” was just right. It had the right amount of star power (Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton), the right amount of hotness (Rachel McAdams and Patrick Wilson) and even some good jokes.
Even so, I was laughing to my ears while seeing Patrick Wilson. I don’t know why, but I believe I found another one: an idol that could go up and sit next to Keannu Reeves. I never thought that could be possible but it happened. I’m not sure if it’s his good looks combined with his talent, but I think it’s more the fact that he has a certain feel about him.
Yup, I had a great birthday (with great gifts and lots of tulips) and a great weekend. I can now say that getting older isn’t such a bad thing.
I’m not a fashion forward person, but I have fallen in love with this trench coat:
This has nothing to do with the fact that Emma Watson is wearing it. I just really love that trench coat. But I seriously doubt I will pay around 1000 euros on a trench coat. And I am not sure if that’s the right price either. But it wouldn’t matter anyway it would still be out of my price range, way out of my price range!
Still, it looks really good on her. *pondering how it would look on me*

The weather is lovely, I’m at work, I managed to drink my coffee without any incidents and I even talked to an old friend of mine. I could say this week started just fine. Slow and relaxing, just the way I like it. I am even willing to look over the fact that I have work to do now to last me two months easily.
It’s a perfect day to start my foreign language lessons. I decided I won’t take any classes (for now) because I can learn the basics on my own, that and it would be to expensive for me. If I reach a decent level I might look up some intermediate classes. Here are my Japanese workbooks, I wanted to do a picture and of my German books but I didn’t got the chance (long story).
I’m also happy because my Bipasha Basu “Love Yourself” fitness DVD is here. I’ve been waiting for this for a while and I actually can’t wait to start. I had a sneak peak last night at the beginner routine and it looks simple enough.
I’m not into the fitness craze, but I always liked Bipasha Basu. Plus she is known as one of the most fit and healthy Bollywood celebrities and her DVD received some good reviews. The DVD doesn’t promise miracles but it says that in 60 days (if the routine is done on a daily basis) there will be visible results. And that seems fair to me, getting fit doesn’t happen overnight. Since I reached my ideal weight last year I am now hoping I will be able to tone my body. Hopefully I won’t slack off like before.

I know some might say that I am starting to many at a time and I won’t succed. But I find it easier to start several projects at the same time. Also exercising really improves my mood, my memory and my drive to actually do stuff.
Certain events have made me reconsider myself and my actions.
First it was my “2011 Resolutions list” that made me realize that I was missing on a lot of things that could really improve my daily life. Things that really cheer me up and things I find “productive“. So, I decided that I don’t have to wait for 2011 to start my resolutions. I actually managed to complete certain things from the list and 2011 hasn’t even started.
Also, I realized that because I’m kinda shy and always think about what others might think of me, I don’t do certain things that I enjoy. Well, recent events just made me realize what an idiot I am.
Kwangsu (from Supernova) had an event celebrating him reaching 20.000 followers on Twitter and he sent autographs to a person from each country that would participate with a photo impersonating Jude Law. It just kills me to know that I could’ve won an autograph because, heck there aren’t many Romanian people out there that are fans of Kwangsu, or anything Kpop for that matter.
But, I won’t make the same mistake twice. I actually made a Twitter account just to win a holiday card from the Wonder Girls. I am not putting my hopes up, because the Wonder Girls are far more famous than Supernova, but it would be a really sweet thing if I could actually win something for a change, and from my favorite idols for that matter.
Now, I know I’ve complained a lot about the fact that my grandchildren will probably get old before any Korean Idol group will set foot in Romania, but I still like to have my dreams.
Well, at least I won’t have anything to regret now if I don’t win. Also, just wanted to let you all know that my winter holidays are getting better and better as each day passes: it’s snowing, Johnny will be back home next week, I’m going to the mountain side (where the snow is up to my knees) and for the New Year Party we’re going clubbing.
And once again I must say thanks to allkpop for providing me with news about my fav idols.
