I was reading on Wikipedia about Shirley Temple today.

While I was reading, I thought to myself “What if every normal person would have their own biography on Wikipedia, what would that be like?”

Besides the fact that there are over 6 billion people in the world, wouldn’t that be interesting? To just pick a person and read about what they did in life and where they are now, even if they are normal people living normal lives.

Then I woke up back to reality. I remembered what kind of people live in this world and just having all that information lying around wouldn’t be a smart thing.

But still, what would a Wikipedia page tell about me? I bet it might not be a long biography.

It’s Saturday. I’m at work. It’s quite sad because I was planning on slacking the entire day.

But, before I left from work, I actually looked around my room and noticed my Japanese Idioms dictionary. I bought it thinking that I will keep on learning Japanese (but somewhere along the road I got lost). So I opened it and guess what idiom I read?

Kono shumatsu wa hatarakanakereba naranai node, ki ga omoi desu.

Translation

It’s depressing to have to work during the weekend.

The dictionary talked to me. It was saying “Sucks to be you!”. If this isn’t a good way to get me back into learning Japanese than I don’t know what is.

I loathe reading newspapers and watching news. But, I just can’t seem to stop it.

I don’t know why, but I still expect to find useful information. I know hope dies last, when it should die first in some cases.

Let’s see…

Today in the daily newspapers you find:

  • Information on how to trick your girlfriend that you like her when you actually don’t. Article destined for guys who want a comfortable “relationship”.
  • Information on how the president of Romania is putting the blame on the nation for the condition the country is. Yes we are guilty for not voting right. But when you don’t have any good options what can we do?
  • Naked women
  • News about “famous” people here in Romania.
  • This article sounds interesting “Am I still a virgin?”
  • Sports news … I think, the boobs just keep throwing me off.
  • More naked women.
  • And articles translated from “Daily Mail UK”

It’s somewhere along those lines every day. I wish I could just open a newspaper and not find boobs, useless news and “news” about people that haven’t done anything worth mentioning, except being stupid and vulgar.

It’s somehow sad that the things that are meant to inform people are actually distracting. It’s like everything needs filtered just so you can find something useful. Even the daily weather forecast is presented by naked women.

And what’s worse is that when you do find something interesting, there are so many versions of the “facts” that you don’t even know what to believe. Even the words are used out of context.

I only enjoy the Wednesday newspaper, which I buy just for the book. I’m currently at the 26 volume of the Jules Verne collection. That’s my only satisfaction, great books at small prices.

Remember this?

Well, I actually found something identical but a lot more funny:

You know, most girls when they are little wish for a pony. I wanted and still want a dog. It was and still is a more realistic wish.

Yesterday, I went with my friend on a stadium close by. I don’t know if I should call it a stadium because it’s small compared with what I see on TV. But, it’s still a stadium to us none the less. The stadium has a rugby field, about 6 tennis courts, 2 football/basketball courts and you can even go jogging there. Also, it has an archery field and a place for riding horses.

We were watching the guys there play rugby and catching up since we get to spend little time together.

We chatted till late and we only noticed how late it was when it started to get cold. On our way home out we noticed a little horse grazing. At first we thought it was a baby horse but when we got close we realized it was a pony.

It was cute and it got close to the fence and we managed to pet it. The pony was so gentle. He didn’t mind us petting him and he just did his thing, we did our squealing of joy.

We were petting a pony!

It was so random and yet a really nice end to the day. My friend even made a wish because she never touched a pony, not even a horse.

I just can’t wait to brag about it to Johnny. After all, he was so happy when he got to pet a Saint Bernard. I wanted to take a picture of it, but I enjoyed more petting it. Plus, I thought it will get scared of the flash since it was dark.

Even so, enjoy some random pics of guys playing rugby.
