With no chance of the Wonder Girls making a comeback anytime soon, I guess I should be grateful for solo activities. Sunmi just made her comeback with a new album “24 Hours”. Her comeback song “Full Moon”.
For the first time I like a song more than I like the video. It’s very different from her last song, but it’s still as good as “24 Hours”. I also like the fact they kept the barefoot thing. Somehow, I find that Sunmi voice changed from her Wonder Girls days. I guess that has something to do with the change in her singing style.
Sometimes I think I should expand my kpop list of artists. I’ve recently started randomly browsing YouTube for music and of course I got stuck on kpop. Somehow, I avoided Girls Generation, Wonder Girls, T-ara and any other group that I’m already familiar with.
I ended up with Sistar, Secret, K-Will, Nine Muses and other groups. Kpop is much bigger than I thought and there are a lot of underrated artists that have awesome songs.
I can live without many things, but I cannot live without my music. These are my babies:
3 generations in one place. Believe it or not they are all functional and it’s something, considering I’ve had the 2 gb Philips GoGear for 6 years, the 8 gb Sony Walkman for 4 years and the humble 32 gb iPod for 2 years now.
I must admit, nowadays I’m using more the Sony Walkman because it’s small, easy to use and if I happen to drop it I won’t cry my eyes out. The iPod is there only for audio books and the grandpa of the lot, the Philips GoGear, well he retired a long time ago. But, I’m thinking of using it now for foreign languages studies.
And with this occasion I realized I take care of my things. Feeling proud of myself.
HyoMin and EunJung recently appeared on “Immortal Song 2″ with a cover of Tae Jin Ah‘s “Not Anyone Can Love“. It’s a very nice cover and it reminds me why I love T-ara as a kpop group.
The main reason why I like T-ara is their killer voices. And from the total of 6 members my favorite are EunJung, HyoMin and SoYeon (in that order). In fact, I consider that they are the vocal power behind T-ara. It’s really annoying that whenever there is a comeback, their main song is a “catchy” repetitive song that loses his appeal after the first 2-3 weeks.
I hope that on the next comeback they will make a song that won’t focus on visuals but more on their vocals.
I should be at work right now but I made a bad decision yesterday: I ate something I shouldn’t have and here I am, enjoying my extended weekend.
Since I have plenty of time to waste and no way of going out, I’ve decided to watch a Bollywood movie. I had so many to pick from but I wanted an oldie so Kuch Kuch Hota Hai it was.
The movie stars Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Shah Rukh Khan and a lot of ’90 fashion. In fact there was so much ’90 fashion it was actually embarrassing at one point.
This movie was a big hit back in its day. It has all the elements of a Bollywood hit: a love triangle, tragedy, children and songs. Quick summary:
During their college years, Anjali (Kajol) was in love with her best-friend Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan), but he had eyes only for Tina (Rani). Years later, Rahul and the now-deceased Tina’s eight-year-old daughter attempts to reunite her father and Anjali.
I liked the movie, it was fun to watch but there were so many moments when I felt like Bollywood would incorporate anything in movies without taking in consideration if actors can do it or not. I almost stopped watching the movie after the first basketball scene between Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) and Anjali (Kajol). I’m not asking for perfection from a Bollywood movie, but at least make them practice till a decent scene is shot.
It was clear they never played basketball until this movie…
It was an OK movie. I really can’t complain, I wanted something to fill up my time and the movie did it. I must admit I skipped some parts of the movie (songs, or the running in the rain scenes) because it was a bit tiresome, but over all it was good. I got to see a Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan movie, so that was nice as well.
There is no such thing as being perfect, but there are some people out there that are pretty close to being perfect.
My biggest flaw has always been my skin. I have really dry skin. I must admit that I am very lazy and I don’t always moisturize or even shave for that matter. If fluffy legs would be as cute for humans as they are with cats I would be the happiest person ever.
I don’t have a skin regime, nor do a me time set aside just to pamper myself. Which is weird since I waste a lot of time in front of the computer or playing silly games. I waste a lot of time looking at gorgeous people and wondering how do they do it?
Well, I’m sure they do it just by taking care of themselves. It’s not rocket science, if you want to look good you take care of yourself. It sounds so easy, but when you put it in practice you really need a lot of determination not to give up.
So, I came up with a pretty simple plan: Exfoliate – Moisturize .
It won’t be a daily thing. I don’t plan on making it a daily thing, Heck I live in the real world so, no. I must be true to myself and know that with my lifestyle it will be impossible to do something on a daily basis, besides going to work. So, I will stick on those 4 steps once every two days. It might not be much but its a beginning towards being awesome and stuff.
Then there’s my face… I can hide my legs and my body under clothes, but I really cannot wear a mask. My face is oily and I get a lot of pimples from constantly touching. I managed at one point to stop touching my face and to keep a daily routine then I fell off the wagon and that was it.
But, spending time on the Internet made a bit jealous on certain people, for example Yoona from Girls Generation or Hyomin from T-ara. I know that I probably picked the worst examples ever, since they are idols and have an army of people behind them that made sure they are perfect from head to toes. That and the fact they are Koreans and everybody knows Koreans have the most flawless skin ever. I swear they don’t even have pores, their skin is like porcelain.
Still, they are a good example. Its proof that you can achieve a flawless complexion. Now all that I need is to become an idol… That or just find out what they are using and hope to God I won’t go broke to buy all the products they might be using.
Leaving the jokes aside, I really want to have good skin. I just need to find something that works for me and just take care of myself. Also, I’ve found a little video that just blown my mind. I shall never underestimate someone that is wearing natural makeup (Korean style).
