With just one song but in three different languages.

I’m loving the English version cause I don’t need subs to understand what they are saying. Hopefully, they will realease new songs soon. Until then, enjoy their new song:

2 Different tears

By the way Hae Lim voice is really awesome. She really fits well on well SunMi spot. Can’t wait to see them on the stage on Music Bank or other Korean Music shows.

Who is Hae Lim?

Well she the newest Wonder Girls member. I could say she replaced Sun Mi, but that wouldn’t be fair (to Sun Mi or to Hae Lim), so I’m going to say she’s the new addition.

Have any of you visited the Wonder Girls website?

I did and I was surprised that there wasn’t any kind information about her on it: no profile, no biography, and no pictures.

She wasn’t received “warmly” by the fans and everyone keeps saying she doesn’t fit in with the rest of the Wonder Girls. Of course she doesn’t fit in with the rest of the girls; she’s new to them and to the fans.

The Wonder Girls have been around for 3 years. In this time, they earned their fans, they created their own style and have gotten used to being in the spotlight. They (Sun Ye, Ye Eun, So Hee, Yo Bin and Sun Mi) also became friends.

Hae Lim is a stranger to the stage, a stranger to the Wonder Girls and a stranger to the fans. So, don’t be unfair to her. She’s a newbie, a Wonder Girls newbie. Give her time to earn her fans, to find her style and to get used with all this attention that she’s getting. Also, give her time to become friends with the other Wonder Girls.

She isn’t here to replace Sun Mi.

I am actually looking forward to the new Wonder Girls album. I just want to hear her sing and I also want new Wonder Girls songs. Then I’ll know for sure if I like her or not. Until then, I hope JYPE will make her a proper profile and we will get to see more pictures of her and the Wonder Girls.

P.S.: I just realised that, while I wrote this post I actually got used to Hae Lim as a Wonder Girl. And I’m the same person who, a few weeks ago, said she can’t imagine the Wonder Girls without any of the original members.

Korean entertainment has been taken by surprise by the official announcement that Sun Mi is leaving the Wonder Girls.

As all the fans out there, I was shocked when I read the news (on Saturday). It really came out of nowhere and what really “hit” was how quickly she was replaced (by a 17 year old Lim).

I just can’t imagine the Wonder Girls without any of the original members: Sun Ye, Ye Eun, Yu Bin, So Hee and Sun Mi. JYP really found the “perfect formula” for a girl group. All of the 5 members had their own personalities and unique traits, they had really great chemistry on stage and off (not to mention talent) and the Wonder Girls are the only Korean Idol group that has managed to keep it’s style unchanged for more than 3 years. And that says something in an industry where image and keeping up with the latest fashions counts as much as talent.

It’s funny how things turn out, since last year in June, So Hee and Sun Mi were bashed for giving up school so they could concentrate more on their activities in the U.S. and now, half an year later, Sun Mi is leaving the Wonder Girls so she can focus more on school and the fans are shocked and refuse to “let her go”. I guess you can’t please everyone.

I am wondering if her leave will affect the Wonder Girls English album that is supposed to be out this February? Either way, she will be greatly missed and I’m sure that everyone will agree that she’ll be a Wonder Girl no matter how long she’ll be away from the stage.

Wish you luck with your studies Mimi!

I wanted to do a Review of 2009, but I was so lazy that I gave up before I even started.

Even if this year started slow, and we’re back to our normal routine, there are a lot of things I wish to do this year. But, I don’t call them resolutions cause they aren’t.

  1. The first thing I wish for this year is for Johnny to quit smoking. He has initiative but lacks determination (because smoking is his way of chilling out, especially at work). I am only hoping that the price he pays for smoking will determine him to give up (really, smoking is expensive).
  2. I hope that we won’t have so many silly fights as we did last year (this should be fun).
  3. I can’t wait for Miyazaki’s next movie. It was pure accident that I found this article on the net (I wasn’t even searching for new releases from Studio Ghibli). The movie is called “Karigurashi no Arrietty” (“Arrietty Borrows Everything“), and it is said it will be released this summer (COME SUMMER).
  4. The Wonder Girls English album. No matter how much I like them, it’s hard not to get tired of their Nobody promotions.
  5. Spring!!! (Well Johnny is waiting for Summer)
  6. Whatever this year has to throw at us. I’m sure it will be a fun year and that we’ll make great memories.

So what if the year has started slowly and that we’re back in our old routine. Why try to fix something that wasn’t broken in the first place? It’s just better to upgrade some things and leave the rest as they are.

My only Resolution for this year: stop slacking!!!

Forgetting about politics for now, I can truly say that this winter will be worse than last year.

In just two days since the weather got colder, half of the people from work have gotten a cold. Some didn’t even show up for work today (thank God they were the annoying ones – we can ALL use a break). Now, I can only hope that we will have a white Christmas not just a cold one (like last year).

Even so we (me and Johnny) are thinking of spending a part of the holidays out of town (since we just had enough of some people and work). Just one more week and we we’ll be home free. Until then patience and music to make our days better.

PS: I can’t wait till February next year when the Wonder Girls will release their new album (which will be in English).
