Out of order

Come back next Monday when we will have interesting stuff to write about. For now nothing new, just the world crisis, some bomb explosions in India and about how Romania is next to be affected by the world economy crisis or something like that.

PS: I bought new boots.

Slice of autumn

I love autumn, and it seems I’m not the only one enjoying it.

It seems Magda loves the leaves, since they make such a good sleeping place. It seems she also loves sweet things.

Yesterday

…it was really hectic at work. I actually needed a McFlurry ice cream just to get my “old self” back. Ummm Johnny needed a beer, I guess each with it’s own.

But it wasn’t that bad. After work, we went to get my manga’s. We went straight to the source, and there was even a cute kitten there. Johnny just couldn’t stop playing with it. (no pics, sorry). Anyway, I got my first 4 volumes of Dr. Slump (by Akira Toriyama) and some more volumes from Dragon Ball (the same author).

The guy from the “shop” told us about this anime “convention” held this weekend. He even gave us a poster. And yup we are going. I know that I won’t like it that much, but it’s good to support this kind of things if you want something better. And manga’s and anime are relatively new here, and many people, mostly idiots, believe that they are bad. But then again they can’t understand all the meaningfull lessons and messages in manga’s and anime.

Well at least I had a good laugh last night, just reading the first volume from Dr. Slump. I truely recomend it. And before I forget about it, here’s a link to the convention website, aka Nijikon 2008: http://www.nijikon.ro/ .

Oh my gosh…

The Mystery Machine is in town!!!

I even got off the bus to see if I can get an autograph from Scooby Doo and the gang, but I wasn’t that lucky. All I got was some pics of the van, but even so, still cool. Maybe next time.

Good morning

Well it is a good morning for me, I don’t know about all you other guys out there.

I can’t believe I’m gonna make my first and official post. *excited* So here it is:

It seems that someone has stolen the horse of Carol I. Well not his real horse, but his bronze horse. It seems that the thieves managed to get away with around 300 kg of bronze (on TV they said around one tone but they usually exaggerate, you know, for better ratings), including the horse.  But what’s more interesting, is that this isn’t the first time when it happen.

I guess that we, the citizens of this town (Bucharest), we will have to wait a bit longer (till next year) before we will get out Carol I statue. But then again, nobody knows if that really will happen.

So there you have it, the most interesting news piece of the day. It was this one or about how banks cheat on their customers by changing fees without informing the clients first and how people can fight back. Yup a very exciting subject indeed.

And this is the link to the romanian version (much more elaborate and with interviews with the artists that were working on the statue): http://www.cotidianul.ro/hotii_au_furat_jumatate_din_calul_lui_carol_i-61889.html
