Suzi

It’s been a long time since I posted pictures of Suzi.

Well you’ll have to understand me cats don’t like to be disturbed and Suzi, while she may be the cutest thing ever (when she wants to) she can also beat down a big size dog (my first real life lesson on how not to mess with cats).

And I also can recognize a mean stare when I see one. Sorry Suzi didn’t mean to disturb you.

P.S.: This morning I was late for work (again) because Suzi didn’t like the smell of my clothes and decided to pee on them. It’s a good thing Johnny’s place isn’t far away from my place.

Macro

I’m usually the one who takes photos and just plays around with the camera. Well, not this time.

Johnny wanted to play with the camera as well and he ended up taking some really nice macro photos while we were in the park. Here’s the results:

I am actually a little bit jealous of him, because I always had problems taking good macro pictures. I know this might sound silly but it’s true. I always had a hard time finding good subjects for macro photography.

Maybe I should stop enjoying taking photos of the sky so much and focus more on earthly things.

Back to school.. umm work

I wish all days would start like this one. Waking up refreshed and rested, not having to hurry up to get to work, sitting down in the bus and just enjoying the warmth of the sun. And on top of that even getting on time to work.

I am truly happy that spring is here. Not even the fact of having to work can ruin my mood when the weather outside is so amazing. I believe I feel like this because we had such a long winter. Too long for my taste and bloody cold as well.

Easter was great. I enjoyed every moment, from playing Sims Medieval, to watching “Who framed Roger Rabbit” and just going out with Johnny and his cousin. All holidays should be like this. Not a single thing to worry or fuss about. Oh I did manage to eat a little to much but it’s not a big deal since I ate only what I really liked.

Morning randomness

I had one of those moments when I just needed to stop and do something for myself. It happened this morning on the way to work:

I just had to take a picture of the beautiful (and very dense) fog we had this morning. I just asked my brother to stop the car at the bridge that has an opening to the park and just went for it. I’m happy I did because I really missed using my camera.

Ahh, I love morning randomness. It really brightness my day. I just wish I could have more moments like this, but I usually get stuck being lazy.

And just for the fun of it, here’s another picture. I hope you all have a nice day.

Winter cat

I did mentioned a few times in the past that I wish to improve my photography skills but I rarely get any subjects or opportunities for photography.

Well, 2011 is turning up to be really good to me and there she is, my very first cat photographs for this year.

Not only that all the weather conditions were perfect, but the cat was a little bit more special than the rest due to her different eye coloring. That and she was very friendly and a very good model for me. I am happy with the results.

Hopefully, I’ll find more kittens to photographs as the year goes by.

Ice cold

Yesterday, I decided to take a photography walk on my way home.

I was thinking that the weather was pretty gloomy and not many people would be out on the streets. You see, I have this thing that stops me from taking my camera out if I see people around me. It’s not embarrassment or anything like that. It’s just fear of being mugged. I’m pretty attached to my camera and I don’t dare use it if I’m alone.

Irrational fear some might say, but in my 23 years I’ve seen plenty of things happen.

Moving on…

I was pretty sure I would take some really good pictures because it was raining, it was almost dark and I could freely use my camera.

Boy was I wrong.

Because it was raining and the temperature was -2 degrees Celsius, everything was slippery and it was really cold. I barely made it to the bus stop in one piece. Not only that, but when I tried to close my umbrella I realized the rain drops on it were frozen. That was a first for me.

I did take some photos but I was in a hurry. I was in my sneakers and I was trying not to fall down. Well, I’ve learned my lesson and in the future I’ll pay more attention to the weather outside when I get the urge to go for a walk. That, and I bought a new hat, just in case.

The country side in November

I don’t remember ever going to the country side in November. Usually, in November the weather it is really cold. But we had really good weather this weekend, it was sunny and really warm.

So, of course my family got together at the country side, for a barbecue.

On the way there I wanted to take many pictures. The landscape was stunning. I never knew the country side could be so beautiful during autumn. Even with all the trees bare and the land empty, the views were amazing. Unfortunately for me, we were late and I couldn’t ask them to stop the car just so I could take a few photographs.

I also know that I won’t get any other chance in the near future. But I did enjoy myself and I also took a few pictures of my usual “targets”.

Another day at the country side

Another week, another weekend at the country side.

I can’t complain this time since we were all present. We had fun. We even took time to take some family photos. That’s something pretty rare, all of us taking a picture.

I actually enjoyed myself since we went to the forest nearby. The weather was great and even if the fields were empty it was lovely. I could say we had quite an adventure since we “visited” the military unit there and we weren’t supposed to. At least the so called “tied up dogs” weren’t so mean. Quite the adventure seekers we are.

And how could I forget the lone tree in the middle of the field.

On a rainy morning

It’s raining outside and it’s lovely.

I walked all the way to the subway and I even took the long road. It’s not pouring down, but it’s raining, calmly. It’s not cold but it isn’t hot either.

It’s just a perfect morning even if my hamster got out of his cage last night (that wasn’t so hard since the cage was left open) and I had to look for him this morning. Don’t worry I knew where he was and I found him in a couple of minutes.

Usually he’s a good hamster; once he’s out he goes back to his cage. I still can’t figure that but hey I’m happy he is house trained.

And, I even went to the park and took some pictures.

This is a lovely morning, hopefully the day itself will be good.
